About this service
Old protective film turns yellow over time, develops a web of cracks and starts lifting at the edges. Pulling it off yourself is risky: a sharp tug can take the clear coat with it, and a heat gun easily overheats a panel.
We remove the film with controlled heat, one panel at a time. The master first inspects the film and the paint underneath; if the paint is already damaged, we show you before any work begins. The film comes off in one sheet, at the right angle and without jerking. Adhesive residue is removed with a safe solvent, after which the body is washed and degreased.
Light polishing of the marks left by the old film's edges is included, and the body gets a protective layer at the end. The work usually takes 4 to 6 hours; a large vehicle can need up to two days and two masters. The crew brings everything for heating and polishing, so the film can be removed right at your home or in your car park. A Carnauba hand wax, wheel ceramic or ceramic glass protection can be added to the same visit.
