UV protection — soft top

The fabric roof is the most vulnerable part of a convertible in Dubai. A year of sun bleaches black fabric to grey, and the rare rain leaves streaks on it: the factory impregnation washed out long ago, so the fabric soaks up water instead of repelling it. The roof costs more than any other body part, which makes it worth protecting.

We start by checking the seams and the condition of the fabric. The roof is then cleaned with a soft-top specific product, rinsed until the streaks are gone and dried completely. On the dry fabric we apply UV and water protection in two coats. The result is tested with a drop of water: it should bead up and roll off. The roof is closed only once it is dry, and the master will tell you on the spot how long that takes.

The treatment takes about 40 minutes and is added to a visit — for example to the Exterior Package; it is not booked on its own without a main service. It is worth repeating once a year.
