Ceramic coating — wheels

Brake dust is made of red-hot metal particles. On a hot wheel they do not simply settle — they bake into the lacquer, and after a year such a wheel no longer washes clean: rust-coloured specks remain that only polishing removes. A ceramic coating seals the wheel lacquer under a glass layer, so the dust sits on top and comes off with ordinary shampoo.

The coating lasts about a year and also shields the wheels from road salt and chemicals on the port-side approaches to Dubai. Before application we wash the wheels with a brake-dust remover, take off tar and embedded metal particles and degrease the surface. Then the ceramic goes onto the outer face of each wheel, the excess is levelled off and the coating is left to cure. The wheels stay on the car, and the whole job takes about an hour.

Wheel ceramic can be booked on its own, without a main service. It is already part of the Gold and Platinum packages, while with body ceramic it is added separately — the paint coating does not cover the wheels.
